Ohio Man Dies in Car Accident near Gold Beach

On Saturday a man from Ohio died in a car accident on Highway 101 near Gold Beach.

Francis T. Zavacky, 68, of Steubenville, Ohio, was heading southbound when his 2015 Chevy Tahoe left the road, struck a guardrail and hit a tree.

Part of the guardrail penetrated the passenger side and caused severe injuries to Zavacky who was pronounced dead a local hospital.

Three passengers were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
