Three Injured in Car Accident in Bethany

The accident occurred when a 2004 BMW M3 convertible was traveling on Northwest 174th Avenue in the very early morning. The driver, David Lokken, 51 of Portland, lost control of the vehicle and he collided with a large tree near Northwest Carl Court. The car came to a final rest on its side. Injured in the accident was the driver as well as his two passengers; James Bergener, 39, of Portland, and Sharee Lines, 36, of Forest Grove.
It was reported that Lines was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. All the parties involved are expected to survive and were listed in fair condition as of Wednesday evening.
Speed was very likely a factor in the crash and criminal charges have not been ruled out, though none have been filed at this time. It was not reported if drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident.
