One person died and two others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Monday in northeast Oregon.

The accident occurred when Chance E. Doubravsky, 33, was driving a loaded log truck on Highway 204, west of Tollgate, Oregon. The truck was negotiating a curve when it (and the trailer) began to roll and the logs rolled onto the highway and hit two vehicles.

This collision killed Luby Carol Teem, 69, and injured Jan M. Patton, 56. Patton was treated for minor injuries. Doubravsky also sustained minor injuries but declined treatment and stayed to cooperate with the police.

Our hearts go out to the victims of this accident. We are reminded that the sheer size of these vehicles can make truck crashes catastrophic. Our best wishes go out to Patton in this time of tragedy.
